I'm so sorry mama. We thought LO might possibly have had brain damage because I had a placental abruption and he lost a lot of blood and his organs started shutting down before they got him out via c-sec. He stayed in the NICU for 8 days and had 2 MRI's on his brain. One of them showed black spots on his brain so they reccommended he see a neurologist till he was 9 months. It's so scary not knowing if they're going to develop normally or not and you can't do anything but wait :(

I've been thinking about you since you were so overdue. the not knowing what the extent of your baby's stroke damage is has got to be so hard. but, as you said, she seems like just a newborn baby should be. doctors saying wait-and-see is torture, but reality. I am so sorry that something so unexpected happened.

Quoting Colt's mommy:" I'm so sorry mama. We thought LO might possibly have had brain damage because I had a placental abruption ... [snip!] ... he was 9 months. It's so scary not knowing if they're going to develop normally or not and you can't do anything but wait :("

wow I'm sorry you went through that. is LO okay now?
we kind of had the same thing with the bleeding but it was because I had undiagnosed vasa previa. we're extreeeeeemely lucky she's even alive. so on top of finding that out, this happened. I thought the damage was from the blood loss but they insist it was a stroke in utero
it definitely is scary not knowing what is going to happen, but i'm trying to stay as positive as I can while still being realistic.

Yes, thankfully LO has developed very well. I was a little worried about his speech but now he's talking in full sentences, and all the time, lol. I hope you get the best possible outcome for your precious little sweetheart! Your story just breaks my heart.
