Ok wonderful so if something happens to your parents you'll not only take on their entire debt (even after death) but let them live with you and pay all their expenses including their health care? Because that's how it works in China.

If you can't afford shit right now I would love to see how you would manage. Especially if they're struck by any of the number of diseases that happen middle-age onwards like alzheimers, cancer, MS, motorneuron ... and they have parents still living that they were looking after then you take them on as well.

The state I live in is already in the ground. Fuck even what they consider more poor states are better off than we are. But then again our state is ran out of one city and that is all that matters.

Thats what you get when you give individual states full autonomy ... To little money and too many individualized plans. The whole lot is just going to collapse. Not that i care america will implode, china will become the leading world power and australia will plod along as before

My state has a huge surplus right now. So much so that they are taking away state income tax next year.

Hmmm.... My previous job gave me close to that. No redbull and they didn't allow personal internet time.
I think there is a misconception that most people here in the US don't have jobs with benefits. That is not true. 85% of people were at least satisfied with their health care coverage prior to Obamacare, yet many, especially those outside of the US think people are die in the streets due to lack of insurance.

Then there must be an over-representation of uninsured on this site because there are always several posts a day about not being able to afford to go to the doctor and people drowning in medical bills...

There also must be an over representation around me because I can not think of anyone I know who was or is satisfied with their medical insurance. Although I do know that could be the case but I would like to see more about that number does 85% of the country even have medical insurance or is that 85% of those who do? And if it is the latter I think you would have to also take into consideration the percentage of those who don't.

The demographic of BG does NOT represent the typical American. And, many are on Medicaid to make sure they have healthy pregnancies.

The people who are mad are the most likely to speak up and vent. I have no reason to make a thread that says, "I can't believe I went to the doctor today and didn't have to wait at all and had no co-pay!"

True.
I saw 2 docs this week and neither would take a co-pay.

Curious about the superannuation. When can you access the money? Where does the money sit while you are working and contributing?
