I know the feeling. I have extremely broad shoulders and back, my rib cage is wide as is my pelvis. I also have extremely large thigh and calf muscles so i will never have a gap between the top of my thighs unless i starve muself to the degree that my body starts eating my muscles

I've been trying to, but it's like I go to bed around 1 and wake up at 6 like that.

As a fat person, there are certain things that some people assume about me... just by looking at me. They assume that I'm lazy, gross, stinky, undisciplined, stupid, and eat all the time for example (there are plenty of negative labels that fat people wear just because they exist). Now, the people that know me know that I'm not those things. I've had people tell me that I'm not fat... Really? And I'm just sitting there looking at them like...

Where's the disconnect? I'm obviously fat... but they don't want say that I am because of all the stigma attached to the word.... because they know who I really am.

When people automatically attached negative labels to someone just because they are fat, they are buying into that fat stigma.

I don't want to blame my mom for how much I weigh, but it's kind of her fault.

My dad had A LOT of heart problems and was overweight even though he ate healthy and exercised. It just runs in our family. He was teaching me how to eat right and wouldn't let me overeat or eat fast food too much. He died from a massive heart attack when I was 10. My mom worked everyday from 4pm until 10pm. I was left home alone to feed myself. All she bought was VERY unhealthy stuff that I could cook by myself. (Pizza rolls, Ramen noodles, fried eggs, pizza, burritos) I developed an eating disorder (binge eating) and still have trouble with it. I recently started counting calories and have lost some weight, but I'm 80 pounds overweight. My cholesterol has been dangerously high since I was 13. Honestly I disgust myself and don't know how my husband can stand to see me naked. He's very fit.

I agree. My mom used to fry everything in Crisco. We ate so much fried food and if it wasn't fried, it was overly-processed. I honestly can't remember her EVER buying fresh fruits/veggies. They were always canned.
And then to top it off, they made us sit at the table until our food was gone. No ifs, ands, or buts. My step-dad was abusive. My little brother threw up his food because he was being forced to eat too much...what did my step-dad do? He made him eat his vomit. Yup.
I STILL have a hard time NOT finishing my plate.
I don't fry stuff and rarely eat processed junk, but I can hardly leave anything on my plate without feeling bad..

We call it "Empty Plate Syndrome" in my house.

My husband and I both work really hard on not pushing the amount of food the kids eat, but rather how they feel when they stop eating. I'm trying to teach them to trust their bodies and not their eyes when it comes to portions.

I still have a hard time stopping while eating when my plate has food on it, even when I'm full.

I always have to remind my husband not to tell them to eat everything on their plate. It's such a shift from our parents generation to ours. My parents just don't understand why I don't force my kids to eat everything I put in front of them, they think I'm teaching them to be wasteful and I should make them sit there all night until it's gone. But if they say they're full, they clear the table and they're excused. They're 2 and 4 and I just don't want them to struggle the way I have

Overweight people in general do not disgust me. Morbidly obese people who can't care for themselves do disgust me. I know this one guy who probably weighs 450 lbs and can't even take care of himself. His girlfriend literally has to wipe his ass for him and when he has to pee, instead of going into the bathroom, goes pee into an empty laundry soap jug. It's f**king gross

Fat parents with fat children disgust me. I don't give a shit what you do to yourself but how hard is it to take the chocolate off of your child?! My parents let me get fat as a child and it's one of the only things I resent about them.

Mmmmm..... savory.... lol

Food, in and of itself, has no real moral value... except those placed on it. (I personally think processed food is really bad for people and if we could just eat whole foods, things would be a lot better).

Chocolate isn't bad, but if you eat a buttload of it, it's going to make you feel bad. It is all about balance :)
