my sister's kid (my nephew) has been going to daycare since he was four months old. he is now 14 months.
every other week, he's sick
i've never used daycare, but that just doesn't sound normal to me.
i understand there are lots of kids, and they are all in each other's faces, but is that really to be expected?
he's sick literally, every other week!
Never. At least not yet
Some kids get sicker than others
Once their immune system builds up, they are able to fight off more.
He used to always get sick, but now he hasn't been sick from day care in over 6 months.
DD was sick nearly her entire first year, of course she was hospitalized twice too but now she is rarely sick and if she is it is only a day, so her immune system got built up. She is 3 now.
LO had been in daycare for almost a year and she hadn't gotten sick yet. She's 3
Where is the option for never? Ds has never gotten sick from or at daycare.
Quoting S + K = A❤:" Where is the option for never? Ds has never gotten sick from or at daycare."
i didn't realize it was an option!
i feel so bad for my nephew. i've offered to help pay for a nanny, but my sister refuses, since she doesn't know anyone personally and doesn't know where to look.
DD has been in daycare for 7 weeks and hasnt yet.
