Quoting mamaluvsher4babies:" WOW! Protected from their own parents?? I will let that ignorant statement just slide off my shoulder :)"

It's the truth. You protect your girl from getting her clitoral hood removed against her will, correct? Why can't you give your son the same benefit?

I'm guessing she's going to base her opinion on medical studies, Dr.'s and personal experiences rather than a woman on BG.

Just a guess.

That's asking too much.....

Women get filthy as well if they don't shower properly. Removal of folds of our vagina would be beneficial. Shit, I'm pretty sure it would reduce a number of infections. but... we don't get our bits chopped off, do we? No. We get medication to fix imbalances or infections. yet when a boy gets a problem, the first answer is to chop part of his dick off.

So wrong.

Yes I do LOL...I just don't understand why that would be said. I dont look down on those who are against it. If thats what they think is best for their chilkd then so be it. I am pretty sure the little boy who is being beat everyday would rather be protected from his parents then the little boy who was circum

Yet, when they get older.... they can make the decision to eat how they want. Just like they can choose to get a circumcision when THEY are able to make that decision.

The irony in this exchange with you is I circ'd my son but probably will not circ again, given the opportunity.

But it's kinda like being beaten over the head with a Bible; it never seems to work, does it? No.

I researched myself, because of things I've seen on BG...but I never did it because I was called a "baby mutilator", "abusive mother", "idiot"....you get the point.

Just provide good, reliable and factual information and leave it at that.

You are too harsh and a bit of a bully about this subject, from what I've seen.

No. It's because you're pretty mean about it.

Let the facts speak for themselves. You are very informed about this...so share that knowledge.

I guess. But given the fact that it's a cosmetic surgery should be enough to make illegal.

I have never seen you be a bully. You are just informed and some people don't want to hear it. *shrugs* Oh well.

If she's informed, shouldn't that information be shared instead of guilt tripping people?

I didn't know we were D&Ding about circumcision itself? I dunno if that's what YOU changed it into. I was discussing being against routine infant circumcision. And I did post proof stating that it's just as harmful to do it to babies, if not more, than to adults. So... what's your point?

I'm so mean because I'm against unnecessary surgery on an infant. SHAME ON ME.

Quoting Rumpelstiltskin:" But in most countries outside of the USA people don't circ'. And just because you are intact doesn't mean you cannot get an STD... it only lowers the risk like 3%! That's what condoms are for. "

Three percent is enough for me. And I realize that being circ doesn't zero the risk of transmission.
