Obviously besides the basics, what types of questions would you ask on a first date?

omg NO!!!! hahahaha

I don't really ask a bunch of questions... just "go with the flow" kind of thing. It's not till the 3-5th date that I start asking questions.

That's a good question that I've never asked before.
My life makes a lot more sense now.

Any weird fetishes I should know about? Or criminal history? Most people dont ask people these things right off, and then are shocked when they do find out. It is better to knnow right away.

NO! don't make it like an interview! that is always so awkward and I hate that! just see if you click...go with the flow. you arent supposed to grill them and make them feel uncomfortable.

keep the questions light...don't talk about anything to "heavy" or "serious"....all those things will unfold in time. If you start firing off questions it will more than likely scare someone off.

We asked each other a whole bunch of questions that I cannot remember right now. Oh, I asked to see his divorce papers, offered to run home and get them. Lol
(He was separated from his wife and the divorce had been started before we got together)

People rush to be exclusive and then to get engaged or live together or whatever... dating should be fun, take it slow and have a few dates to see if you even click before you decide to be an exclusive couple or see if he is long term or marriage material!

There's nothing wrong with that question. You don;t have to word it like that, you could just ask "so, where do you see yourself down the line". The answer to that actually says a lot about the person. Is he a traveller, is he business oriented, is he a family family man, etc.
