I have been with my SO for 7 years we have hard times and broken up a few times but we have need stopped loving each other. This last time we broke up was because we were long distance and it was hard on us both. We both ended up talking to other people but he wanted try o get back together as did I. And we did. We have 3 kids together. We got into a huge fight a few months back and called things off (but we both knee it would blow over and things would be fine) he at that moment was angry with me thought we were truly done. So he hooked up with the chick he was seeing when we broke up the last time. He just told me yesterday. I don't know what to do. I love him so much and I know my heart will forgive him. But he says that if I did this to him he would leave me and he doesn't get how I could forgive him and he doesn't think I should.....advice or anything please.

Thank u for reading!

If u were technically broken up you can't hold it against him too much. But that's bot to say it wit hurt a lot. I'm sorry. Some men have no impulse control.

Well, he wasn't cheating as you two were broken up. That sounds like such an unstable 'relationship.'

He says that I see it as cheating cause he should have just let our fight blow over. I think he is more mad at himself then I am. And I know it does sound like one and I hate that it is. :(

This! And I wonder why he had to put it out there on why he doesn't know how you could forgive him!

Then do something about it. I think if it's gone this way while you're long distance, nothing will get better if you continue to be so. Children or not.

Maybe he actually did cheat while they were "on" and feels guilty.

I really don't see as it was cheating. But I know it was still wrong of him. I know he is beating himself up about it. I think that is why I'm not mad. Is that wrong of me to think?

Eh, if you two were broken up, it's not really 'wrong' of her per se. Of course it hurts to know he was with someone else, I get that.

This! It's not much of a relationship if you randomly break up and get back together.

Then I think you need to go to counseling.

You could be right. IMO it does sound like hes guilty or trying to get her to dump him.....

I know our relationship is nowhere near perfect. In 7 years we have broken up 2 times. Once cause I had really bad baby blues and took everything out on him and then when we were long distance. Which was mostly cause we were both so stessed out over the situation.
