Quoting Cynthia Stevenson:" well thank you to those of you who know what no negative comments means:) i never knew induction can ... [snip!] ... and just giving birth in general can lead to c-sections... sorry if my words are messed up my daughter is helping me type lol"

It is way more common for an induction to lead to a csection or complications. It is also more common for women getting induced to need pain meds.

Sorry to offend any one... but to me saying some one is selfish or unnatural for being induced because they are in pain, i find negative and if your gonna post any thing rude dont bother ill ignore it

My cousin is maybe 5' 1" and might have been 110 before she got pregnant. She had a 9 and a half pound baby. If you feel 8 pounds is big...they get a lot bigger. As far as tearing, my second was 8 lbs 10 oz (2 weeks early) and i had a small tear that needed 2 stitches. My third was 8 lbs 6 oz and i tore from c**t to ass. He came in one push and was crowning before i started to push. That being said, i was induced all three times...once 2 weeks past, once 2 weeks early (heart rate spiked at 200 and wouldn't drop so they broke my water) and on my due date. I had GD with the youngest two, so both were medical reasons and with my daughter i had a heart murmur plus she was in position, but i hadn't dilated past 1 but was thinned out, contractions 2-4 minutes apart for 3 weeks, so it was more to help get it going. I personally thought it wasn't that bad the first and third times, but the second time i pushed for a lot longer since he hadn't dropped and was early.

I was induced with my son at 39 weeks.
Everything went just fine. I was in labor for 17 hours.
My son was perfectly healthy. (:
I'm due in 26 days again with a little boy.
We haven't talked about inducing with this one yet.
No need really, but we will see.
I hope I go on my own. I want my water to break
or start having really bad contractions and have to go in
on my own. Lol.

You need to get thicker skin
You asked why people are against it, they answered. And it IS unnatural. Anything forced with synthetic hormones is unnatural.

Im up for induction as long as its between 41 and 42 wks never more never less unless life or death situations ya know but to me a baby being to chubby or head to big and things like that are just odd excusses to have an induction my brother has always made a remake to women that have said they were induced or csectioned for purposes such as those and thats " if your a coward stop spreading your legs no one said child birth was easy" hes now 25 and hates to realize the new procedures they have for everything these days but if its medically necessary its fine .... Baby should be out before 41 weeks to de,rease bowel movements

In the end its your body, your decision. People are gonna always have something negative to say (especially on here) but im sure whatever decision you make will be best for you and your baby. Good luck.
