he finally wants to get her help Thorian's Mommy 1 child; Westbrook, ME, United States 8313 posts8th Oct '12
My niece just turned 4 on the 4th. lately she has been having some huge meltdowns, one that you would typically see a toddler go through. some times she can snap right out of it and be happy and laughing like nothing ever happened other times its worse to the point were it seems like she is having an anxiety attack and cant get calmed down. My brother has sensory processing disorder and is bipolar and her mother has anxiety problems as well. he has been so reluctant to get my niece evaluated because he doesnt wanted her labled. but last night was the worst for kaylie. she had a huge tantrum and what seemed like an anxiety attack. my brother had to hold her and restrain her because it was so bad. he finally said he was going to call the doctor tomorrow. he is so torn because he barely knows how to cope with his problems and doesnt know how to help her but he is so worried about her being looked at differently.

It's important she gets checked out. Who cares if she is labeled or not, that doesn't define her as a being.

thats what i try to tell him. i think heis worried about it because of his own experience. growing up he was always the problem child and everyone looked at him differently.
