I am going in tomorrow for my PP check up. I feel pretty good and haven't been having any issues so for once I don't dread going in.

I am a tad bit nervous because I am planning on getting an IUD. From what I've researched I would prefer the Paragard over Mirena. I have had bad experiences on every form of hormonal birth control I've ever been on. I'm just not sure if insurance (Medicaid) will cover the Paragard. I just hope either way when it's done I don't feel like a hot mess afterwards.
Any advice/comments if you have had an IUD?

Cramping/bleeding/general feeling like shit is very normal after insertion so plan on it and try to make sure you can have help with the baby that day just in case you need to rest.

When I had mine inserted I had spotting and mild cramping but nothing note worthy.
