I would not say applebees is a "nice" restaraunt lol just that the OP is materialistic for caring so much like he should have taken her to a 5 star restaraunt as if she is worth that.... which clearly she is not...

dates should not be that expensive until they really mean something

They do not have to be but husband and wife going to a nice 5 star restaraunt on an anniversary or honeymoon, vacay w/e stuff like that is awesome...

but on a typical date lol no, no date has to be expenisive but it's nice to go somewhere really nice to celebrate special occasions love that with my hubby

Quoting ★Bαtgirl:" I celebrate special occasions with my SO, who is a long term relationship that we may never get made ... [snip!] ... and love that goes into it that counts. A homemade candlelight dinner from home is just as romantic as a 200 dollar meal. "

Ehhh to each their own, I like going out of my home I stay at home enough lol and I go to those places around the city enough those rare outings mean alot to some of us stay at home pregnant wives who don't have much of a life LOL

and we rarely do it so the money doesn't hurt us but if we could not afford it we would never do it ...

just depends on who it is I guess love my nice restaraunt outings and I get to dress up lol I love it

Quoting ★Bαtgirl:" Obviously, not literally. OP was expecting a super high class, 50 bucks a plate place apparently though, and that's NOT what a date is supposed to be about. "

Yeah I know I agreed with that... was just talking about husband and wife special moments personally

the op is a gold digger with two kids... youd think she would be alil more down to earth being that I am sure she does not have much money herself

Amen. This thread made me want to vomit. I never, ever expected a date to be expensive. And I would be thrilled if I could go to Applebees. It means I wouldn't have to cook. :lol:8)

Quoting ★Bαtgirl:" IKR?? f**k, I love going to Applebees! It means my stove stays clean and I don't have dishes to do after dinner!! "

Yes! I hate dishes a hell of a lot more than I hate cooking. :x And SO hates to do them, too, so I normally get stuck with both jobs. At least when he cooks, I do the dishes.
I digress, dating shouldn't be about where you're going, but who you're with. If you're thinking that high class is a priority, you seriously need to wake up. Hardly anybody in our age bracket (19 to, say... 26) can afford that shit. Especially with kids.

YES! You can't forget the Picard Facepalm. If you ever do, you're living a life not worth living.
