SAD WHAT PEOPLE SAY AND CANT SPEND THAT SAME AMOUNT OF ENERGY THINKING ABOUT WHAT THEY ARE FIXING TO SAY....I WISH U MANY BLESSINGS WITH YOUR BABY BOY!!!
Quoting Rain (aka Mama):" Yep. My mom's husband. I nearly punched him for it too, and I almost NEVER get angry. "
You have more self restraint than I do. I can't imagine I could hold back to a comment like that. :(
Quoting Dr. Mrs. The Monarch:" Thank you for posting this Cassie! When we told people our daughter was stillborn we directed them ... [snip!] ... a plan" only made everything more raw. They dont have any idea that those words are NOT for them to say or mae judgement calls."
I agree 100%. I'm not religious, but DH and his family are, so I've had a lot of "Jesus took her because.." etc etc, comments directed my way. It never gets easier to hear, either. It's just as painful hearing it now as it was in the hospital.
Quoting Hanah Jones:" I wish I could've seen this before. It would've Been a BIG help"
Hugs, mama. Keep it book marked because unfortunately, the comments will always be there. <3
Quoting Lori Ann Barreto-Ojeda:" "
I am really glad you posted this. I am the QUEEN of saying stupid things when I am trying to be kind. It's like the path from my brain to my mouth is blocked and I just wind up saying something along the lines of the NOT to say list. Yikes.
Thanks for posting this, it really helped me to know if I'm ever in that situation again to know what to say.

No problem. Glad it's doing some good!
