You can get birth control for free at planned parenthood and the health department. So teenagers that don't want their parents to know can go there. It's based on income. Here as long as you're 14 you can do it without a parent but the age differs in some states.

I agree with you. When I was taking bc pills they were 80 a month which is outrageous to me. I'm not saying everyone should have to pay for it. I think the system that's in place now is fine I just don't think it should be completely free for every woman but I do think insurance companies should have to have it covered on their drug plans. They cover Viagra because its "medically necessary" the need to cover birth control bc like you said it is used for medical reasons for some women

No, because its not free. Someone is paying for it and I think if people think they are responsible enough to have sex, then I think they can be responsible enough to get their own BC. We the people don't need the government for everything in our lives. We should be responsible for ourselves.
