Spiritual meaning of marriage? Lucid Dreamer Florida 3829 posts

I often hear the belief that God joins people together through marriage. I believe the true meaning of marriage is much deeper. In my opinion it is not about 2 people cumming together (pun intended). I believe we exist as 2 halves when we live in the physical reality. There is the lower self and the higher. When the 2 merge together they become as one. Does this make any sense or have I been eating to many mushrooms?

I believe marriage is what you make of it. If you go into it thinking it's nothing but a piece of paper, then that's what it will be for you. If you go in thinking you will be in this forever, while it might not happen, that is what marriage means to you.

It's a personal decision that is completely dependant on each persons point of view

Marriage is a commitment to stay together regardless of circumstances in life.

I would agree human's versions of marriage is a piece of paper. I am not saying it is a bad thing though. It works for many

I believe marriage is when 2 people love each other come together as one. They also stay together through better or worse. I dont think of my marriage license. When I think of being married...I think of my husband. That paper hardly ever comes to mind.

Of course a beaver. What other species would I mention? Seriously there is only the human version that is refered as marriage. But what I am talking about is the spiritual side of it. Try a few mushroons then maybe you will see where I am coming from.

Eh, I believe I can be committed to one person forever without having to be legally married to them. It is none of the state's business of who I am with.
