My fiance wants us to go to a haunted house. I'll be 29 weeks pregnant. Some of my friends said there was a warning sign for pregnant women.....

Is it not safe....?

Would you not go if you were pregnant?

No, I wouldn't go. Those levels of stress are bad for the baby would by my thought on the matter.

It isn't safe as people are screaming and scaring you. Some places won't let you in if you look pregnant. Enter at your own risk I guess.

Family is getting together this weekend for a haunted house but I'm just going and I'll sit in the store to enjoy some Amish candy and goodies. Will have dinner after they are done with the house.

Nope, I wouldn't go, and they recommend you not to go. I would be afraid of being pushed/shoved or tripping. I Just went to one and it was wo narrow and I even ran into a wall because it was so dark lol

Last year I wasn't allowed to go because I was in my thirst trimester, this year OB gave me the all clear.

I wouldn't go for the simple fact that most won't let you in while pregnant. I'd hate to drive to wherever it was and have to wait in the car while my friends had fun. It's not safe since you can easily trip and fall, get knocked into by someone etc.

i think they put that for liability reasons cause they are dark and you could fall and they could get sued but if your worried about it no i wouldnt

Im 33 weeks pregnant and I dont think they'd me in because even when not pregnant I trip all the time in haunted houses. ALL THE TIME lol. They put the props in random places, make the floors uneven on purpose, and over all it's just not safe for pregnant women :( Im missing out this year.

But most haunted houses dont let pregnant women in, only the ones that aren't showing yet ;) Like little 4 monthers. I'd surely go if I was only 4 months pregnant!!!! If I fell, there would be no damage :D Ladies, dont flame me for this. No one falls flat on there belly/face if your body hasn't changed..... It's called reflexes :P But since Im 33 weeks I'd probably fall on my face.... no doubt hahahaha

I would think it's not safe. It's dark and people push and shove. You could easily fall. Plus to be scared really bad. I don't think that is good for the baby. My DH won tickets to this scream thing, it's 5 haunted house in one location and I am not going because of those reasons. Which sucks because I have never been to one. =( ever.

I'm 38 weeks... And through a vote I can't go. I'm bummed! But it's probly safer. Running, bumping into things, stress levels, and all that. So they are all going and then were watching horror movies and having funnel cakes :)
Maybe just find a fun alternative. And next year you'll have LO! No more fright walks... Lol, just pumpkin patches.

I worked at the house of shock in the gravyarad area in new orleans when i was around 20 weeks and so did several others, its not as bad and you most people if they know a preggo lady is there then the characters tend to be more easy on here...so if you feel like you can do it then try it...

It's still not safe or for pregnant women. You can still trip and fall or get pushed.

As much as I love haunted houses, I wouldn't go while pregnant. Even if you can handle it, or don't find it that scary (like me), other people still do get scared, and can have tendencies to behave irrationally. I remember one year when I went, a guy got so scared that he punched someone in the face... you wouldn't want that to be your belly getting punched. There are also so many things to trip on, tight crawling spaces, etc., and you can often easily lose your footing. It's just a big risk to the baby. I'd say wait till next year :)

I went the weekend before I was induced with my first, did nothing for me. But it takes a lot to get me scared (unless it's a killer clown lol) I went on a haunted hayride though so it may be different than a trail or something.
