ouch! how big was he? Might have had more to do with how he came out though. If you spend a LOT of time both in pregnancy and during labor on your hands and knees... it encourages baby to turn into the right position.

Hopefully it'll go easier on you next time.

*hands and knees* got it! I'm also getting regular adjustments with the Chiropractor because I've "heard" it does help keep your pelvis aligned and all that jazz.
He was only 8 lbs, 4 oz but he was almost 22 inches long and his head and chest were 15 inches. He was sunny side up and just big and broad. Just really an unfavorable combination.

holy crap!! 15 inches and sunny side up??!! ouch!

but yea... turn side to side in labor...at LEAST every 1-2 hours... and spend a lot of time on hands and knees rocking back and forth. It'll also feel a lot better!

I know :x He was a beast!
I'm going to try that this time. While I loved my hospital experience last time I am delivering at a different hospital with this baby and they are more err, IDK how to say it.... they seem like they are bigger advocates for mom and baby. Sort of like a birthing center vs standard L&D.

My mom had over 179 stiches both top to bottom and side to side... she didn't rip with anyone else.

I had 163 stitches, up down/side side. I had like 13 stitches with my son. It was so much easier.
