if you are dealing with welfare yet you think youd be an awesome mom yet you still fear baby being taken when he or she is born how do you prepare yourself emotionally?

They won't take your baby just because you're on welfare.

Is there more going on with this than what you're saying. Plenty of parents are on welfare and still have their kids.....what are you so worried about?

Being on welfare does not get your child taken away.

Child services is a different story. That means they are concerned about the child's welfare/well being.
I dont know how to prepare. Sorry, Mama. Never been in that situation. :(

Well, why is CPS involved?

That was hard to read. I think you're asking about having your child taken at birth bcause you're on welfare, and that won't happen. Plenty of people have kids on welfare. It's certainly not an ideal or even desirable situation but you can't lose your kids just for being poor. Is there something else going on your life that makes you worry?

Child services are involved with my man and his family and we just had a baby together

if child services is involved Idk how you'd prepare yourself mentally/emotionally for birthing that kid and then turning around and having them taken.... but yeah there's way more to this than you're telling, which is fine that's your business, but we really can't help you without much to go on... but you have to do something much closer to the birth to have baby taken away.

With just him or are they looking at you too? Because if it's just him and you live separately from him nothing will probably happen with you.

My SIL in law went through that. You LEAVE HIM! She lost her kids 11 yrs ago. Her son turned 18 over the summer. It's simple...you leave the guy you are with. Something SIL obviously didnt get.

ETA: SIL never got her kids back once they took them. She has her son now because he turned 18 and came home. her daughters are still somewhere. The youngest got adopted and a name change. A man is totally not worth losing your kids over.

Why are they involved with your boyfriend? And honestly if my boyfriend was causing me to worry that my child was going to be taken away, I would not be saying with him.
