I am just starting my baby registry and wanted to add disposable diapers.
I was wondering how many of each size I should put on there?
I would suggest only size 1 and up. The hospital will give you a NB pack and unless you have the baby early it will fit sz 1. And in my case with a 10lb 8 oz baby NB will never fit! LOL
For my friend's baby shower, she just asked everyone to bring a package of diapers with the receipts. That way you can exchange them at the store if you need the next size up, etc.
I agree. Actually, if you're hoping people will buy you diapers, I'd say ask for 1 pack of size 1 and then just ask for size 2 and up. You might have to buy more size 1 diapers but then again, maybe not. Mine only used about 2 packs of size 1 (he was 8 lbs, 14 oz) and one brand (Parent's Choice) never did fit him (so I have an opened pack of those kicking around :().

For my shower who ever brought the most diapers won a prize. We got tons, even though most were the same size we went to Wal-Mart and exchanged them without recipts.
Another good way to ensure you get lots of diapers is have a diaper door prize at your shower. Everyone who brings a pack of diapers gets entered for a prize. And include that info on the shower invites
My son was 8lbs 12oz and was in NB for 3 weeks. He is in size 1's still. He's 3 1/2 months old.
OH! And the hospital I went to only gave you a pack of 1's. We had a the biggest box of NB's. And we still went through a little 40 pack. When they put the 1's on him in the hospital it was way too big, so I just saved those for later! I brought some NB just in case 1's didn't fit him.

I don't think our hospital gives u any diapers, just what u have had in ur room that u didn't use. I didn't think to register for diapers, I was afraid to because I don't know how much he will weigh. I've bought a pack of LUVS in size 1, I think they are the safest size to buy because at sometime or another they are going to wear them! lol
