Yeah I'm with mommy of 5 I have a three will be 4 and a 1 going to be 1 1/2 when this one is born and it was hard to breast feed with him with just my daughter I feel like its going to be impossible for me to do this one. I'm going to of course do my best but I feel like I'm going to end up doing both.

I planned on the breast only , but we had latching issues in the beginning. So now we do both. I pump & bottle feed during the day , & breast feed every other feeding during the night. Which works for us. My mom & sisters love to feed her so they like that I pump so they can have time with DD too.

This is my problem...in the hospital I breast fed her but didn't realize she was latching wrong and that's what was causing so much pain..so once I got home my nips were blistered to hell and I couldn't stand for her to feed on them it was that bad. She has been on formula since and I have either an infection or kidney stones or something going on so i've been on antibiotics and busy with two other children and I have started giving up on the whole BF'ing thing which breaks my heart...

This happened to me too. I didn't know DD was not latching right (no nurse taught me how to properly feed her) , so when I got home , my nipples were a mess & it was too painful to nurse her. So I pumped , which still hurt but not as bad as nursing her , & bottle fed. But we went to see a lactation consultant & fixed her latch , so now we alternate.

Great news that you fixed her latch! I was wanting to do the same, see a LC but since I'm dealing with whatever is going on with me and on medicine I don't want to give her the breast milk because I'm on Cipro and going to take diflucan for yeast as well. I have probably ruined my chances by now, not pumping or ANYTHING the last two days :( .

Yea that's definitely a lot to handle. But just go at it with a positive attitude that you can do it and if you can that's great and if you can't that's why there is formula. And as long as baby is fed and growing well that's all that really matters
