I don't get it, how was it scary when the mom had no problems and the baby was delivered healthy? That's a HEALTHY AND GREAT home birth! This site is so stupid for freaking out over a healthy home birth!

Also, I'd give birth at home , with my next one but my midwife doesn't recommend it so I'm gonna listen to her when I can have a great experience otherwise. She said it's ok for me to birth at a birth center despite my past 2 c-sections because now I have had a vaginal birth though.

Same. My DD was stuck for 15 min and was not breathing when born. I still preferred my hb over the hospital and my emerge csection. Lol

My good friend had a home birth that was a foot first breech. She had no problems and neither did her baby. She said it wasn't any different than her other births.

I watched a home birth on Youtube one day of a woman having twins.. The second baby was breech and wasn't born until 8 1/2 hours after the 1st. There were no problems & they were both perfectly healthy!! If she had been in a hospital, it would have been automatic cesarean for sure :?

Breech birth is just another variation of normal. I have had women get really pissed at me on here for saying it, but its true. Hospitals just don't do it as much anymore so THEY are scared. I believe i read it somewhere that its actually protocol for them to allow the mother a trial of labour, it just doesnt actually happen. Much like twin birth but that's a whole other story.

Yup.. they no longer practice breech vaginal deliveries.. and they scare moms into thinking it's not normal!

That's not completely true just harder to find. My kid waited a long time to flip and in the mean time I had found an Ob that would be there for a breech delivery.

That's good :) .. I didn't mean to say they don't practice it, but they no longer train doctors for breech deliveries!!

That's pretty awesome, then :) .. I swear, my town is like C-section city.. And we have THE worst hospital for anything :? They don't even allow VBACs.. not so sure what their breech policy is.
