Has anyone actually lost weight with the wii fit? MilkieWay Due August 29; TTC since Jun 2013; 18 kids; Michigan 1117 posts

Curious if the wii fit works. According to what I just did, I ran a mile and a half in about 10 minutes. Curious if that is even accurate because I wasn't even tired. I used to work out regularly, so I am not that out of shape, but I am overweight. I didn't think I could really run that far this easily though lol At this point I'm curious if the wii fit will pay off if done daily?

Only one way to find out - get on the treadmill and see if you can do that mile and a half in 10 minutes.

If you're really doing 7 minute miles, then you're hella fit, and I'd look for something for challening than the Wii like Jillian Michael's vids, for example.

In my experience, the Wii fit kind of.. well, it's a game, not a fitness program.

I consider myself relatively fit, and I run 9 minute miles, or 3 miles in 30 minutes, which is not bad, but not great. I've never done it on the Wii, but nothing that I have has tired me out or worked out actual muscle groups

I do not have a treadmill. I have an ellpitical, which I used to use a lot, but the motor that makes it adjust stopped working.

I also have Jillian Michaels. I just got bored of that. I used to do that all the time also. Now I mostly do the Walk Away the Pounds miles by Leslie Sanson. That is getting a little old too though so I thought I'd try this wii.

Then maybe just go for a run outside? Check on Google maps what is 1 mile from your starting point, and time yourself?

I have. With a low carb diet and the wii fit, it helped me lose some weight. Not a ton, but some.
