Alrighty, my hubby and I are fixing to start Insanity on Sunday. Its already in the mail on its way here. =]
Has anyone tried it? Liked it? Hated it? Finished it?
If you finished it, what were your results like?
Also, Ive got no idea where to start with eating "right", Ive slowly tried changing a few thigns here and there. I started a new job and got a crock pot which I love. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for good healthy lunch and dinner ideas. Also snack ideas. I'm looking into making smoothies and getting more fruit and veggies to add to lunches and for snacks. I would like something that the whole family would love, my two kids are too picky either but I do want them to be able to enjoy a nice dinner and the hubby and I as well. Im not a big fan of having shakes or anything for dinner.

I tried it, couldn't finish the second week because it was just too intense for me. My SIL did finish it and because she didn't follow a diet her results weren't great. Our Insanity brought a meal plan guide, if yours doesn't look it up online, it's very helpful but can be expensive.

It does look really intense, but Im going to try my hardest to finish it, and possibly with the hubby working with me I'll have some help. It did say it was going to come with a meal guide, which I figured would probably get expensive, and we dont have too much extra money, but I was going to try and still attempt to eat healthy in other ways, but I really want the results.

The main thing to focus on is eating 40% protein, 40% carbs, 20% fat, and taking the calories you need. In the guide, it includes a way to calculate the calories you'll need to consume daily.

oh and as far as intensity goes, i couldn't get past day 1 lmfao. but there again, i'm like 107% body fat.

I'm doing Insanity right now, next week is recovery wk before freakin month 2 which conveniently starts right when I start my new job lol so I will be waking up at 4am to kill myself with hour long workouts :shock:
But what I can say so far is that I do notice a difference already, I have gained like 3 lbs of muscle and lost inches and my legs and butt are really toned and my arms are getting little muscles lol.
But I have a love/hate relationship with it because it is INSANE. And kind of becomes repetitive, especially at the end of the month.

My husband and I are planning on getting up at 5am to start it in order to get the workout in before we go to work. Otherwise there just arent enough hours in the day after work because of trying to feed, bathe and get the kids in bed. So hopefully it will also give us the energy for the day. I always notice when I workout in the morning it tend to do that.
If you dont mind me asking, what have your eating habit been like, thats my main issue, is trying to change my eating habit, because I dont know where to start. But I wanna make sure I get the max results I can get.
Well honestly I do my best to eat healthy but I am by no means perfect. Some things I do are: only drinking water for beverages, always choosing whole grain over white carbs, eating veggies when I go out to eat (I need a steamer at home/need to learn how to cook veggies lol), eating white meat, trying to eat a lot of salads, making sure that I drink tons of water, eating good fats such as avocados and almonds and other nuts...0% chobani yogurts a lot....eating fruits
There is a lot more that I need to do like maybe eating less cheese with my foods and lately I have been eating my daughters halloween candy :oops: & sometimes I can't help but give in when ppl around me are eating things that I know aren't too healthy.
But if you want to change what you eat then its just a gradual process and you can't be perfect at it right away, it takes time and also you will learn that if you eat things that aren't too good for you, it will make it so much harder to get through the workouts...at least, it is for me

And I am not saying that what I eat is super healthy, I know there are people who will say "don't eat too much fruit" or "red meat isn't bad for you" (I just only eat white because I like it better) etc etc but one main thing you should try to do is limit the processed foods you eat and in the nutrition guide that you get with the program, there are a lot of good suggestions. Assuming every program comes with the nutrition guide...I think it does

Hey!! I'm sure you've already started, but just follow the meal plan that they give you! The guide is setting you up for success for you to achieve maximum results! So, with that being said, make sure you watch what you are putting into your body (no brainer!), but you also have to be dedicated.
Also, breaking your food "code" every once in a while is ALRIGHT.... in moderation of course! If you want a piece of chocolate, have one, but remember... MODERATION is key!
