DO NOT QUOTE
This may be a little long...please stick with it I just don't know what to do anymore. I had my daughter Oct. 5th. She;s beautiful, and I love her to death, no issues there. I also have an almost 9 year old son...I'm SOOO exhausted from my newborn I feel like I have no energy for my son. What's even worse is that he has a different father and sometimes when he's there I just feel relieved. I feel so guilty about it. I feel like I can't handle 2 children. When I had my son I said I would never have another child because I was afraid I would feel like this and here I am, feeling like this.

I also have fibromyalgia which goes into remission while your pregnant but has come back with a vengence now. I'm always in pain, always exhausted. I just don't know what to do anymore. I feel so guilty like I'm not giving my son the attention he needs and maybe I'm not a good enough mother for either of my children.

I have fibro also, and being on meds really helps. I don't feel as overwhelmed with 2, and I'm not in anywhere near as much pain. I would talk to your Dr. about getting on something, even if you are BFing, there should be something that's safe. And I love it when DD is at school. Gives me a nice break, and lets me have time with my baby. Once she's home I have her help with him as much as she can, and she really likes it. She's proud she's such a good big sister. Good luck!

honestly your kids are just glad you showed up, no matter how energetic you are with them. I was fortunate enough to have my last pregnancy correct my chronic pain from PCS (that's very rare) but before that I often had to have my 3 yr old feed my 1 yr old with stuff my hubby would pre stock in the fridge where he could get at it, and all I'd do would be to lie in bed, they'd come visit with my every once in a while but they were so good about not letting it get to them. Plus, having a newborn is exhausting no matter which number child it is, it will get better, do you remember when it started to get easier with your first? That will happen here again but you'll have another child around to help you entertain your little one :)

I am not BF so I could go back on my meds...I am back on everything I was before I got pregnant, but they had been trying to figure out why my legs hurt me so bad all the time. The whole time I was pregnant it went away...now its come back and I forgot just how painful it was...I am literally in tears over it. Nothing ever helps they've tried meds physical therapy, everything. The only thing that stops the pain is actual pain killers. I was thinking about asking my Dr. for a referral to pain management but I always feel like I look like a drug seeker since there isn't a blood test or something that can prove you have fibro...

Thank you this really made me feel better. However my son's father does not take care of him...even the basics, doesn't make sure he bathes. His grades go down in school when he stays there during the week so I hate sending him there

They have me on an anti-depressant, since fibro affects the same chemicals in the brain as depression. I'm on Celexa, and it's totally working. I am not 100%, but there is a huge difference than before. And I HATE the idea of being labeled as someone who needs an anti-depressant to be "normal", but it is such a relief to not being in pain every second of every day. I can actually stand up from sitting on the couch and not fall over, it's pretty awesome.
