Is it true that kids get really clumsy and lose their balance a bit during growth spurts?

DD has been tripping all over herself today. :? She just fell and said "I broke hand!" Lol

I was super clumsy when I was going through puberty. I ran into corners and crap turning them. Just BAM!

I am always clumsy. I could be standing perfectly still and just lose my balance. I'm starting to wonder if it's just genetic. Lol

DD gets ridiculous some days, but I think that has more to do with the fact that she thinks she can run but she's not quite there yet. Haha. I have a few "stepstepstepsmashCRY" moments a day. When she's going through a growth spurt she eats and sleeps a lot and doesn't move around as much, that's all I've noticed.
