Quoting I'm His Amy He's My Rory:" Ah okay, from my perception of how I read the OP it seemed like the blame was trying to be placed on ... [snip!] ... It'd be like if someone was trying to vote here and screwed up their day and didn't make it. Not exactly the same but similar."

It was shoddy planning on the part of some people higher up in command, but the soldiers that cast their vote the second the ballot was handed to them should have their say. They deserve it more than anyone.

Nah, she said its not about the election, its about the military. I agree. Out of all votes, military absentee ballots need to be top priority. Who's the dummy that marked the box wrong? Idiot.

Voted EIGHT MONTHS in advance.

It really was. And for it to have so many failures along the line, is amazing. And not a good amazing. I mean, thinking about them not being able to even simply deliver the mail makes you worry about what if it was something life or death and they couldn't pull their heads together and get it right. Pretty sad.

Exactly. Ammo is heavy. A box full of ammo and a box full of ballots will not feel the same.

And postal workers pocketed whatever ballots they wanted. Omg
The amount of injustice here is fucking astounding.

Never said it was the fault of the soldiers, I said it was the fault of the people who screwed up along the lines.

I'm reading another article stating that thousands of military ballots didn't get TO the soldiers until Nov. 6th.

Pretty sure it's satirical, don't worry. https://www.facebook.com/duffelblog

But if that really did happen, they would definitely need to do a recount.

I know a lot of military members, stateside, that didn't vote due to absentee ballot registration issues, including myself and my husband. They kept giving us the run around  But I do know that a lot of my friends overseas (not deployed) did fill out ballots. Whether they were counted, I'm doubtful.
