birth control lil*Mama*Bear 2 kids; Veneta, Oregon 4957 posts

My c section is scheduled for Dec 6the I am done having kids. And wanted to get my tubes "tied" but I don't want to continue to have a period and not be able to have kids. That is why I don't think I will do it. Spending the next 20+ years bleeding and being reminded I can't have kids sounds depressing. After the birth of my son I tried the our and it rejected then I tried the shot and got pregnant while on it. So this time I want to do it different. I can't use the patch or the ring they both make me sick. I hate condoms and I don't think being married that we should have to use them. It makes sex less pleasurable. Ideas? Also the arm implant freaks me out.

Depending on your age, most doctors won't actually do permanent forms of birth control.

What have your experiences been like with regular bc pills?

My doctor will. I already signed for it. But she said until she does it I can change my mind. I'm almost 23 with 2 kids. And one was conceived on birth control.

Im honestly worried that I would get pregnant on it. But I have to take the low estrogen. that is the only thing I feel I can do.

we use natural family planning for the same reasons (I can't do almost every form of bc except for condoms, which I don't feel is a constantly viable option in marriage because we both dislike it so much), so that's temps, cervical length, texture, opening, cervical mucous, opks. And it's been working very well for us. Once you know what you're doing it can be quite effective.

Why not get a partial hystorectamy? Then you won't bleed or get pregnant ever.

Because they don't do that. During a c-section the likelihood I would bleed out is too high. The doctors just won't do it. And they don't do them just because. I would have to need one. I asked. I wanted to do it. But I'd rather live and im glad my doctor feels the same.

So you have to plan sex basically?

If I was on a pill making my period regular, could I go off that? Or does it take all the things you listed?

By the time I have her it will have been almost 2 years since I had a period. But before that I was fairly regular. my shot didn't wear off completely for a year. We were trying to have a baby when I got pregnant the first time and that was how long I was off depo before conceiving.
