Low oxelate diet? yeah right... so many things on that list are my favorite foods. I don't know how the hell I am going to do it.
They don't exactly know what diet to put me on seeing as they have not been able to test my stones but they are going to do a 24 hour urine test on me and check and see what they can find to narrow it down. Which is good....but my doctor said to start with an oxelate diet for now and see how I do.

I just don't know how I am supposed to stick to this damn diet!!!
No chocolate, barries, carrots, beets, soy, animal protein, collard greens, cocoa, coffee, black tea, parsley, onions, peppers, beans, nuts.... excessive salt(I can do lol), 10glasses of water(I can do), Lemonaid(I can do)...ect...(this is only the beginning of the list!)

Please someone tell me how I am supposed to get protein!? eggs?
I can't handle it! I was already a vegetarian and eat organic foods!

OH! I have heard of that but I don't know exactly what has it in it. I have had a veriety of fake meats ranging from soy free to soy infested ;P
I didn't know it had an abbreviation either ha. I am currently eating Quorn brand fake meats which are...not the tastiest but they are fungus which is cool lol.
I just wish the diet didn't restrict so many veggies. :[ It makes me sad.

I love barrys and oranges and greens...oh and chocolate of course haha.

I just deal with the stones! I should be on that diet but I'm not but I know mine are calcium oxalate deposits. I've had them since I was 14.

...I am kinda getting to that point lol.
They gave me synthetic morphine but my stones are so bad it doesnt help. I passed a 7mm recently. Normal people don't pass more then 5mm lol.
The only concern is that I get them every couple of months. Ugh.

Its so painful and SO stupid. Its costing me a lot of money. Luckily I have insurance but I am out of my healthcare spending card and even after insurance every ER visit is 400 dollars a pop and mine get big so I have to go in because if it gets stuck...It needs to be removed or I could have kidney damage. So poopie.

I am hoping my urine analysis will narrow it down haha

How often do you have them though? I get them every couple of months. :[
I notice since I have been chugging more water I have felt better and I also am doing the lemonaid thing and low salt but thats about it. I can't handle all the rest! What would I eat!? Ha. It almost sounds like they dont know for sure what foods so they expect people to cut everything out....

I am thinking about going to a dietician to get advice since they know a crap ton more about diet.

About the some are so bad I throw up but my tolerance had built up to the pain. They have told me to go to a dietician but I just deal.

Oh maybe try the vitamins. The doctor gave me a time release vitamin called... something XR. ha. It has potassium, B6 and two types of magnesium in it. I guess it has no side effects and lowered oxalate in patients urine about 80% of the time. I would ask about it. If I can remember the name I will let you know. I have yet to pick it up lol. (it was an MD doctor as well, not a natural one)
I think I will go to the dietician just to see what they say. I love diet and exercise. I just...don't like this diet. I want to know exactly how many mgs of Oxelate I can have per day you know? The stones stress me out. D:

Did they ever give you dilaudid for your stones? I have some...it wasn't even enough last time Y_Y. I have to go the ER and get shot up with it.

This is the vitamin she gave me. I am debating trying it. I wanted to find a food based vitamin instead first. Also, she said to avoid ascorbic acid(synthetic vit C) and thats about it. I am debating trying everything aside from the diet. I have been told by 2 doctors that they suspect my magnesium levels are off, so I am hoping it helps. Y_Y
