Haha true but, as long as he's not doing it at his speeches and using that as a base for all his decisions, I wouldn't care.

I think its really crazy when people say "we're a Christian nation, we always have been." Probably do some research. Rumor is the founding fathers were pagans but, they weren't. They were thiests who put in writing that America is not a Christian country.

I just lol at the crazy bible thumpers who think they know everything.

Me, personally...I don't know what to believe. I just can't believe what a book says, take it as gospel, and live my life according to it. That's like finding a Spiderman comic book and believing Spiderman is real and PROVES he exists.

I'd like to think there's a peaceful place I'll go when I die where I'll see my mother again and everything will be amazing but, I don't know.

No one does.

I think there's SOMETHING but, I won't know until my time comes.

Didn't you know that all these God-haters are taking Jeezus out of everything? Just like they did with Christmas?

At my last job, there was a group of employees who were so angry when management changed things to holiday party, didn't allow decoration, etc. in 2006. I started the job in 2008 and when I left in 2012, they were still griping about no Christmas parties/ Easter egg hunts, etc. The funny thing was that they were not even Practicing Christians or anything lol. They have been bitter for years now about this whole change!

I agree. It's not that we all "hate" god or what have ya. It's more than businesses capitolized on it and the message was left behind and it is sad. I only celebrate Christmas for my kids. They go to church, but I rarely ever step foot there. Of course I will help out, but I don't get into conversations. I don't believe the people know that I'm atheist. I enjoy the people who are true to their faith, though. I enjoy conversations/debates. Just because someone is atheist that doesn't mean they don't have the same morals or are lesser than thine. I like to think I have a pretty open mind, but at the same time I know bull when I see it and may or may not call it as it is

You have NO idea!! They would sit in the break room and gossip/ whine/ complain constantly. You could always guess what they were talking about! I love Christmas, Easter, etc too, but it's a social service agency with a diverse clientele, so why put up signs and stuff that might be offensive? This particular whiny bunch didn't even want us to have rainbow flags or "safe zone" signs up in the waiting room. Smh.

That's what you can call acting like a bigot. They apparently are working in the wrong place!

YES! We ( some coworkers and i ) formed a committee to provide trainings and opportunities for dialogue about "isms" and all kinds of other things relevant to our work. Sometimes they would attend but a lot of times they didn't because they said they were admin staff and didn't need to know it. It's more than just for work... We dont live in a bubble!

I don't think God has any kind of intentions or preferences in things. We as sons of God decide what kind of reality we will have.

I'm a christian and I think that's so rude of her. Obama didn't win because of not enough christians voting for Romney. I personally feel Obama won because he basically had the media in his back pocket.
Saying that, I believe God WANTS certain things for us.. but in the end we choose, we can make the choice to go down the path God wants us to.. or we don't have to. God doesn't force love and God also granted us with free will.
I believe president Obama winning was because of people, not because God decdied we need "evil". Evil is a really strong word... I wouldn't use it so loosely.
