Hi everyone. I was just wondering about how many of you pregnant women slept on your stomachs before pregnancy and if you did how long did it take for you to stop sleeping on your belly during pregnancy. I'm almost 14 weeks pregnant and I still sleep on my belly at times, it kind of worries me but then again I'm not really that big yet to where it's uncomfortable to do so. Thoughts and Opinions please? :D

You can sleep on your belly until you no longer feel comfortable.
I am a belly sleeper but my b**bs hurt pretty early on so sleeping on my belly wasn't an option anymore.

Never did it beyond 18 -20 th weeks and don't recommend anyone else to either! Left side is the way pregnant benefit most when it come to the placenta/heart etc. in pregnancy and a body pillow is a great thing to take advantage of anytime now!!

Does it become a risk for the baby after sleeping on your belly after 18-20 weeks?

You can cut off blood supply to the fetus and any Ob will tell you not to and not encourage it once you reach a certain point in your pregnancy! Laying on your back is Also not recommended!

What I believe in and some choices in life are personal! I opt to never take BC ..Now, I do think about 1 more before saying I 'am finished -I was diagnosed 9 yrs. ago with endometrial hyperplasia if left untreat a large, very large percentage turns into cancer- So , It is still in discussion on another and the risk to it is me and baby if any! One way or another I need to seek treatment or have a Hysterectomy my Doc wanted me to have in 2003 following my diagnosis. If, I opt one more then I will request a hytserectomy at the time I deliver C-section , if the Dr. is willing. We, are told because of my condition and as long as me and baby are holding they would probably do it all at once!! I will be having/trying for another come this time next yr. or sooner if I' am going to , otherwise treatment is underway for my condition!!
