I went to the doctor September 12th this year for a checkup, my doctor told me i needed to lose weight, that it was beginning to affect my cholestoral. My bad cholestoral number is perfectly low the way it should be, but that good cholestoral # that says you are eating healthy and in range on your weight and stuff. Well (she's been my doctor since i was in middle school) her realizing i have 2 small kids, and a husband who is now disabled due to a work injury and can't drive or read anymore... so its not like i have spare time, not counting the fact i work a full time job in a management position... plus i had tried to just simply alter my diet before and had lost some weight but i kept getting stuck at the same plateau, so i got frustrated and said screw it and just went back to eating whatever.... she told me about adipex and to atleast give it a try. its not bad either, it took a few days for my body to adjust to it, it is a strong med, so of course the first few days i felt uber duper strange. but now i just feel energized, and without conciously choosing to remove certain foods from my diet, i have begun to do so and actually be disgusted by greasy stuff. i truly love it, and i still have 2 more months before my next check up!
so i have, and i'm 2months in now. i've gone from 172 to 147lbs as of this morning :) i'm so super duper excited, because i haven't been this light in years!!! just wanted to share my excitement!

He had a check up every month too. Adipex is not good for you. At all. I forget what he was taking.
Ooh please be careful.
Adipex isn't something I would ever take, even if I were morbidly obese. I'd do weight loss surgery before taking that stuff

its not ven allowed here.
i hope youll be allright OP, and congrats on that weight loss!
i had never ever even heard of adipex till that day i went for my yearly checkup, and i looked up a little before i said ok, and still have continued to look up stuff, but mostly i just find things where people complain of racing heart and feeling like a hummingbird on speed or something... but my heart doesn't race, and i don't feel super nuts, just like i have a boost of energy more than usual and if i do exert myself to some degree, then my heart does speed up and maybe a little sooner than before, but it doesn't go any faster i've continued to monitor my pulse of be careful to notice if i was to have any flutters by haven't...

thank you, and again, totally did not even realize the restrictions in places on it like that. i know i can only get 1 fill at a time, and my doctor has to write a completely now slip for each month. so the refills are restricted here. course i take the generic, phentermine, but i guess its all the same
A recent study of 1245 people taking Adipex
On Oct, 22, 2012: 1,233 people reported to have side effects when taking Adipex-p. Among them, 9 people have died.
yea see i totally went from feeling great about my weight loss to "oh shit" ... way to freakin go... blah....i had tried doing it on my own, but i always got stuck at the same weight, with small diet changes, or huge diet changes, calorie restrictions, and even being active... i always plateaued in the 150's... and ever since i've been a higher weight i've had absolutely no energy, felt gross about myself, also when i kneel down or squat to do something in less than a minute my legs would tingle and go numb, now thats happening less, and i'm smaller, and i'm finally seeing the old self a little more each day... but on the other hand some of this crap ya'll are saying scares me... but i've never known of anything to help me get it started.... i don't plan and taking this forever, it was just to get me going past that barrier

I used to weight 260 lbs, so you are preaching to the choir. What I do not understand is how anyone can say they "researched" this shit and still take it?
YOUR DOCTOR has to carry EXTRA INSURANCE to even perscribe this to you?
What's more important 20 lbs? Or watching your daughters grow up?
Seriously. I am not blowing smoke out of my ass here, this is your LIFE.
