Lmao! Only AFTER people said "well it's rude to let your children scream" does she say, well she only yelled once. yeah sure. Not mention that in your OP, then it would have made the lady making the coffee sound rude had the kid yelled once and OP had stopped her.

Eh with two kids I probably would have went to a drive thru somewhere to get a coffee if I needed it. (i don't drink coffee, just saying what I would do) The lady did sound rude though. I know sometimes my kid will scream while shopping but he doesn't scream the whole time I'm in the store. He'll get upset at some point of being in the store every time and I have to shop, he won't do it for long though. When in public you are probably at some point going to hear a kid screaming and I don't get mad if I hear an upset child.

Okay for those drive thru people WE DON'T HAVE ANY not even a McD's! It's code that they are not allowed an again I was in the grocery store already so why go someplace else? It was not some quiet cafe where people want peace and quiet.

And I said exactly what happened. I did not correct myself to look better. I didnt think people would assume I let my kid just sit there screaming for 10 min.

It's sad. I miss the old BG where it was mothers supporting each other and having a place to vent. It you to be if you had nothing nice to say you closed the window an moved on not go around calling people who don't know AT ALL morons and b***hes. Again just sad.

This! Seriously! I worked at Starbucks in a Safeway and heard children melt down every day... I would never ever dream of telling a customer to "put a muzzle on that kid". Or I would be saying it every day, and would be fired.

Congrats to all the parents who give in instead of disciplining, and leave their groceries in a cart right before leaving. I always hated walking around the store and putting those groceries back in their spots when I was busy with other things at work.

Agreed.

I think I know who you are talking about and that lady sucks! I would seriously just ignore all of the lame comments in here. Safeway is loud, it isn't necessary to take the girls outside over that, geez! I wish we had drive-thru coffee here!!!

Don't let it bother you. You didn't specify to begin with how long they were crying, people just jump to conclusions and talk shit for no reason. It does erk me when people run their mouths with out knowing the whole story, but what can you expect...it is the internet and a lot of people have to be e-hard and say shit they would never say to someone in rl.

Don't listen to everyone. She is an employee and no matter how much your children were being loud (not that it was a lot), she as an employee had no right to say what she said to you.

Wut? I've been on BG since '07 and people always get called on their b.s.

And I'm sorry but making a comment after 1 scream, I think that most people have better things to do then waste their energy on being negative over 1 thing.

Well maybe my kid was the 15th kid to come through and scream and she had it. End point is she had no right to open her mouth.

My BIL is trying to open a Dutch bros here. There are kiosk parking lot coffee shops. Walk up and drive thu only. Santa Cruz has crazy laws and they are going to tons of red tape :( they would make a killing opening one of those here!

I know! There's an open lot on the corner of Ocean and Water and I've always though a drive-thru coffee shop would do so well there but I think there's some kind of issue with that lot plus this town and its laws...SMH.

Its funny how so many people have an opinion on how other children act and they dont even know the entire story or situation...
