I call my son by both. His second middle name fits him better than his first name and if I had it my way I would of just used it as his first name but DH didn't want to.

I've tried to go by my middle name but it doesn't work for a first name.

Yes I think it is a bad choice. IMO you should put the name you like best and intend to use as a first name.

I'll tell you why. I have two names - my legal name and the name everyone has called me since birth. It is a major problem. Half of my ID has my legal name and half has my called name. Also, they don't start with the same first letter so I don't even have a consistent initial. It has caused me many many headaches. Keep it simple people! If you don't want to call your child by a particular name then don't use it as a first name. I really wish people had just called me by my (very long) legal name all along - it would have made my life so much simpler!!!

I would think it was Raven. With the G being silent and the ei makes a long A sound.

What nationality is she?

I think it is completely weird!

There were boys on my block. My mom would watch them or their mom would watch me. Their names were Jerome Primo and Christopher Joey.

They went by Primo and Joey. Seriously! First you give your kids horrible middle names and then you make them go by them? SHould have just given them horrible first names and have been done with it. Altho, Jerome is awful on it's own.

Knowing those two, I'm sure they both have lengthy criminal records by now.

Yeah it's my mom's and grandma's and my two daughters' middle name their second one. My first passed away but since it is a tradition I used it for my second too. I don't claim that I used it though. Anytime I say their name or mainly L's name I just do their first and first middle name
