my 3 month old (almost 3 months, in 6 days) will not sleep in his own bed, he wont even nap in his own bed, only in his bouncer or if someone is holding him. i do not know what to do, i co-sleep at night but DH works 3rd shift so when he gets a night off id like to cuddle in bed but DS refuses to sleep in his bed, he wakes up and starts screaming if i lay him down. HELP?!

I don't think you're going to be able to transition back and forth. He's used to sleeping with you, that's what he wants.

Put his bed in your room next to the bed. 3 months is way to young to CIO even if you were going that route.

Does he sleep on his stomach or his back? You might try putting him on his stomach and then either laying your hands on his back until he soothes back to sleep or patting him to sleep in his bed. I snuggle my infant to sleep every night and then put her to bed in her own bed and she's 8 months old now. It will probably take a few nights to get him used to it, so you'll probably have to give up a few nights of cosleeping until he's used to sleeping either way.

Put him down before he actually is fully asleep. Nurse or feed until he is very drowsy (almost out) an put him down than. Its the only thing that worked for my son and it took a few days and nights to get used to it, but eventually it worked. Good luck!

not going that route, his bed is in our room, i have the front bumper off his crib so he can see me, but he still screams untill i pick him up, and he doesnt stop, i also think my pedi is a dumbsmurf because shes been telling me since he was 4 weeks old to let him cry for 15 minutes before picking him up and im just like yeah ur smurfing kidding i am not going to subject my son to that, nothing against people that do, its just SOOOOOO not for me.

Im having the same issue :) SO works nights as well. im thinking about Side Carrying his crib. its when you take the front off and push the two beds together. gives more room and a place for baby to sleep?im hoping eventual we can pull the beds apart.

You can try putting him in a bassinet or pack n play next to the bed. But really babies are still new and they call the first 9 mos of life the second half Of gestation. They still want to be close to you. Just like u wanna cuddle DH, DS wants to cuddle you. Wait for him to fall asleep and then cuddle DH. He can sleep on the edge of the bed. We bought a mesh bed rail from Walmart for like $20 so DD could sleep by the edge so SO and I could cuddle.
