how did YOU balance nursing and solids? MunchkinWrangler 4 kids; Rīga, Latvia 46847 posts

I feel as though LO is demanding more solids and less nursing lately. He still nurses at least twice at night and at least 4x through the day. I have been giving him fresh fruits and veggies for lunch and dinner, but in the mornings he has started to get cranky after nursing and I think he wants more solids. I want to start giving him plain yogurt in the mornings to try. I just get worried that taking less fluids may be bad. He is seven months old, though. How did you balance nursing and solids as your baby started being more and more interested in solid food?

my 11 month old started doing this last month. i started scrambling her an egg after she nursed all morning. i let her nurse first or as often as she wants then give her solids.

I always nursed my daughter before offering her solids. so it was wake up, nurse, cereal, nurse a few more times, lunch, nurse a few more times dinner, nurse a few more times snack. Sometimes there were other snack times mixed in. But she nursed every 2-4 hours from birth until 11 1/2 months.
