I think we've almost got the girl's name nailed down...Kay, long story short we have flip flopped between names this entire pregnancy, but have come down to Alani and Alice...I like them both for completely different reasons. Alani is a variant of the name Alana, which is after a very dear woman to me who was just diagnosed with breast cancer. Alice is a guilty pleasure name that I'm falling in love with more and more...Full names are Alani Sophia or Alice Sierra.

Yep, it's a fave! And I figured Alani isn't too close to Alaina...

I don't like Alani.

Alana is pretty though. As is Alice.

Alice is perfection! It still honors Alana, too - it has the Al, bit. Alani feels a little juvenile, to be honest - it won't age well.

Alani is still to close to your daughter's middle name IMO

Alice is nice but I like Sophia better

I am in favor of "Alani". It's a very nice and unique baby girls name to hear.

I was watching a show, and a girl was named Aolani, pronounced the exact same as Alani. That seperates it even more from Alaina.

I love that! It would absolutely seperate it...

Except now we're pretty sure Aolani/Alani turned into a boy...Our ultrasound yesterday showed up as a boy...If it's a girl, she's going to be Aolani/Alani, but we're pretty sure she made a gender switch on us...

Bahaha isn't that ironic?
