I would honestly go with the truth. Is there a way she can make it to the trip after the senior ball?

I told her that and she said her leader would get pissed off. So i told her to suck it up and go camping.

You're encouraging her to lie? Really?

I find it best to say I have something personal going on that day and I don't feel comfortable discussing it. Technically not a lie and most people won't be mad or push you to tell them.

I wasn't encouraging her to do it, but this is the only way for her to get out of it. Plus it's one time, she's usually devoted to her little brownies.

Well then all I can say is tell her to suck it up and tell the leader that she has a dance to go to that is more important to her.

I only ever went to prom in high school because all our dances were lame so I probably would have picked the girl scout event over the dance lol!

This is like the second post today about wanting kids to lie. It makes me sick, people wonder why their kids lie to them when they get older.
