Lol it has its moments but she is a great kid most of the time. Her and I are close, she feels that she can talk to me about anything. She calls me her best friend and I love that. I believe you can be friends with your children, you just need to know when to be their parent.

My mom and I never had a relationship like that and still don't so I've always been scared to death of having a girl.
I want something like what you have so bad, and I'm becoming more confident I can have it especially now that I have a boy and am confident in my parenting abilities.

I was like that too with my mom, fortunately for us we have a great relationship now, but the distance between us may have a lot to do with it, we live 500 miles apart, but I think we have gotten to a point that even if we lived closer together we could maintain our relationship. I just hope that when my youngest gets to be a teenager, she is 3 now, that we have the same relationship that I have with my oldest.
