Quoting 1+1=4..maybe more..:" Walking, sex, yoga ball helps sometimes (sit on ball & rock or lightly bounce)"

Rocking on yoga ball is supposed to help? They have me doing that for my physical therapy to help my back. I'm still less than 2cm dilated so it hasn't worked for me :)

Tell me about it. My poor SO had to deal with me going from really happy, to exhausted, to just crying, to just being mad. He tried to help me with something and I almost ripped his head off. Two minutes later I was telling him I love him. I don't think I've ever been quite this hormonal.

I've only used the ball in labor. With my first they had me in the shower with warm water on my lower back & i was supposed to bounce through the contractions but i ended up rocking instead lol. I went in the shower @ 5cm came out 8.5cm. I was told to try it with my last but the pit was to high to even attempt.. its supposed to help the baby get lower into the canal & the pressure helps dilate (along with contractions) not sure how it will help when not in labor but never know..

1st and some of 2nd trimester I was too tired. I was only able to force down a bowl of soup and a few fruit snacks for the first 22 weeks. Once I hit 28 weeks though it was an entirely different story lol.

That's been me this whole pregnancy, gosh I hope it goes once I've had her...I feel so sorry for SO sometimes, and like you, don't know how he hasn't left.

I'll have to try it when I'm in labor. As much as I want my daughter out NOW, I don't want to do too much to speed it up. I'm just hoping to make it to 2cm dilated soon. For as much pain as she's causing me I'd think she was at least trying to push her way though. lol

Nothing really works.. people say you can walk or have sex and all to make the baby come fast but none of it is really true.

So many people say so many different things to try its so crazy that childbirth is happening all the time every day for years & years & they still can't work out exactly what makes you go into labour, but there is no need to jump down the poor girls throat she's only asking a question, as a first time mum I've found the midwives I've seen so far have not been informative at all if I ask a question they give me a sheet of paper with advice on or a website I can visit to answer my question I never realised it was so difficult as a midwife to act like they have at least a little interest in me & my first child, people say sex because there is something in sperm, caster oil, long walks ect but who knows what actually works! Good luck sweetness :)

Thank you :) I'm just wondering. I don't plan on trying to speed anything up. I was just thinking that there were probably some funny or ridiculous tales. This came up because my midwife talked to me about inducing me today and I started to wonder all the different ways soon-to-be-moms tried to speed up the process.

Even if she was trying to speed it up, why does it matter? It doesn't work and as long as she isn't drinking castor oil and is doing subtle things like walking why does it matter?
