You know I've tried telling you I need you to show me you love me. And you ignore it. So I yelled and screamed and that didn't help. I'm at a loss of how to get you to understand cause you obviously don't.

Have you talked to him about what you consider to be "showing love?" Honestly, when I read that I was like "how do you show someone you love them?" I mean obviously I know you can be affectionate towards one another, but I guess I'm lost on how to prove to someone you love them without saying it.

Would he be willing to read the 5 love languages?

Maybe he is confused what you mean by "showing love"?

I sure as hell don't know what you mean....

He just isn't affectionate at all. Like if we're not going to have sex he barely touches me. I ask him to help out with stuff and he doesn't (which may be more respect than love but ya know) and when something's wrong he pretends it doesn't exist.

Okay, but have you told him that specifically? Like I said he may not understand what you mean when you ask him to show you that he loves you. If you haven't I suggest telling him how it bothers you and how much it would mean to you if he at least tried to work on it. If you have already talked about it, maybe try doing some counseling. DH and I haven't taken marriage counseling or anything, but we already had DD and were living together prior to getting married. So the premarital counseling actually helped us a lot, and we've pretty much been on the same page about everything ever since.

It's a book about how everyone perceives love differently, and how to express it to your SO depending on how they best perceive it. It's a quick, easy read, I highly recommend it

:?

hmmm, i'm gonna guess because OP loves him and nobody is perfect. It could be a lot worse. this situation does not seem like one to be all "what are you putting up with that for?" It's something that can be worked on.

It could be worse, but there are a lot better out there. He seem's like a douchebag to be honest.

Or he seems like a typical 18 year old kid....
