Quoting It's Delivered:" Marketing. I do a lot of public relations type. Apperance is everything in my job. I can afford it, ... [snip!] ... just like them. Purses have never been my thing though. I have been looking for a good plain brown leather type that will last."
I was director of marketing and advertising before I became a mom. It was not required for me to wear certain brand names of clothes. Even though I could and still can more than afford them, there are other alternatives to paying for a brand. lol I got the majority of my clothes at dillards or boutiques. Now, I am a SAHM and honestly, I am lucky to do anything with my hair besides pull it back most days. I am always running after kids. Not that I am complaining. I love this job much more! lol Longer hours though. Sometimes I would give anything to working 60wrk weeks and flying all over to clients and such. Just for the thrill of the closed deal and even the stress of the deadlines. Then, I remember that I can always go back to my career, I can never do this over. I was not "young" by BG standards when I had my twins or my son. I was 29 with the girls and 31 with him. I struggled for many years before I finally got lucky . Now I live vicariously thru my former colleauges.
You can find a good brown leather one this season. Well, they will be likely on clearance right now. The fall is typically when the browns come out. The best leather purse I have ever had was actually a Fossil. I couldn't believe how well it held up for the price. It was relatively cheap. $130 was it. I used it as a purse/ diaper bag with my twins. the girls are 4. I still carry it from time to time. It is larger than I like to carry usually but it has great dividers and two outside pockets that I can slid a water bottle or sippy cup in. I got that one at dillards but found several more that I like the look of better online at fossil.com It just amazed me how well it held up compared to my DB and how much less it cost. That one was shot to shit in a matter of a few months. Then again, it was cloth.

I am out right now for medical reasons until Decemberish and I am going crazy. I couldn't sahm again. I did it until K was about 18 months. I love working. I've always been a name brand snob. I always will be. I wouldn't buy a replica, but that's me. DH is total opposite me...it comes from going to West point with needs vs wants. Dillards is usually where I shop and I stick to gymboree for K. I just like being able to go in grab sizes and be done since I know how they run. I dress very conservative Jackie O type and it's hard to find clothes that fit that these days.

I am conservative too. Look online at a store called Herbergers. I know when I lived in AZ it wasn't there but it is here in good ole montucky. They carry a very similar style to Dillards and Macy's. I actually hate the style of the early 90's that is coming back. ugh! My kids are always in crazy 8, gymboree, gap, old navy and kohl's. I LOVE the quality I get in gymboree and crazy 8. My twins like pink and purple. Gymbo and Crazy 8 run a similar line all the time but the colors will either be more purple dominant or pink. So, I split the difference and get one girl her purple and the other her pink. lol Kohls has the cutest little leggings and I love the straight leg adjustable jeans. Plus they have great boys dress shirts and polos. My son is a damn mess when it comes to play time. I swear, the boy can find a grease spot in the middle of a padded room. I would much rather toss a $9 shirt vs a $25 shirt on him. lol boys!

aww pink and purple!! Purple has become K's favorite color! She really wants twinkle toes they've become popular at her school. I am just not a fan, they look so grown up for 4 year olds ( poor kid has me for a mom, I like plain colored shoes for her). Did you go black friday shopping? If I had a boy he would be rocking garanimals...they get messy. and fast.

I did. Crazy 8 had an additional 30% off all their items including sale stuff. I totally scored some clothes for the spring for the messy boy. lol I also bought the girls the new line of clothes that they have out. It is "purple" based. lol
My mom manages a sporting goods store. My kids have always got the sketchers. lol When they all learned to walk and were in a size 4 they got their first pair. My twins are in preschool so they are GREAT for the "field trip" days. I pretty much put them in matching shoes to the outfit. You know how that goes. But, Tori (the pink girl) will fight me for jeans and her "running shoes" more often than not. So, on fridays they dress themselves. lol She is suprisingly my girly girl. Olivia will get down and dirty in the mud without thinking twice BUT, she has to have a tutu, dress or skirt to some degree on. lol Odd kids I have! lol My kiddos also wear North Face and Columbia. Columbia actually has a better line out this year than North Face and is cheaper. My mom bought the kids all their snow gear and I swear, the coats are so light and really like a heavy jacket. I remember being little and having a big ass bulky coat. I asked her if they were actually "quality" products or if she just got them for the color (yes pink and purple). She said that columbia is using a new technology with the fibers that cause the heat of the child to reflect back to them and be absorbed in the coat rather than let out like in years past. It is much easier getting them all in carseats now. lol
OP: do you have a platos closet or something similark? v(take in your name brand, eeeeeuc, in styke clothing and accessories, get cash or store credit and they resell them) they always have coach, juicy, etc. the college students are always bringing them in and they selk for about $30 to $50 a bag.
i've never seen a "decent" fake coach. all the fakes you can tell they are fake.
OP why don't you go to a coach factory store before the weekend is over? they have a 30% off coupon out right now and you can use it on the already marked down 50% off clearance. they had full leather bags for less than $100.
Quoting ♡Sarah♡ + 2:" My friend got a hobo for $60 before her military discount. They're running some great deals right now."
they really are! there was a diaperbag for $179 originally over $400.
thanks ladies! I'm not against buying it at full price, but with the baby, bills, and christmas I'm trying to save a little. We'll see what Santa brings mommy and maybe I'll treat myself to a nice new bag after the New Year.
Like I said, the only "decent" fake website I knew of was the one that got shut down. I was just looking to see if any mama knew of any other website with some decent priced coach bags. Sometimes on amazon I can find some cheaper ones from past seasons, equally as awesome, but I haven't found anything that catches my eye. I look at it as: I can save $80 on amazon and get something from last season, or I can wait a paycheck and just buy something brand new.
thanks anyway ladies! hopefully santa (hubby) brings mommy the bag she's been hinting at!
