How did you switch them from formula to formula? WIC told me that if she gets 8 bottles a day, I do 7 of Similac 1 of Gerber then the next day 6 of Similac 2 of Gerber and so on until shes completely switched over to Gerber. I am so worried its going to hurt her belly  Is there any other way to transition them? I don't have enough similac for the next 8 days but if I have to I will buy a can just to transition her the proper way.

Just watch how it affects her. If it doesn't, you're fine. Different formulas hurt my daughters stomach. But with my son, we used different formula all of the time and he never had a change in fussiness or diapers.

I swtiched from similac soy to gerber soy. I just used up all the similac then switched her right to gerber. It never bothered my LO. I was told at WIC that because they are both soy in my case that it shouldn't affect her.

Hm She is on Similac Advance going to the orange Gerber. I went from Similac to Enfamil and it didnt agree with her so im worried about switching but I have to.

I would just go slow for a couple of days and see how it goes. You can't help it if you run out of the similac but maybe you could switch over quicker than what you were told, but still slow enough to hopefully not upset LO's belly.

I had to switch my daughter between different kinds of similac formula last week when she was 2 weeks old. It never upset her tummy just outright switching it, but as I was researching the issue, I read that some women do half of each formula (half & half, in the same bottle) for a day or two before switching completely to help the babies adjust to the taste first. Maybe you could try that? Good luck!

We have had issues with switching formulas. My son is 3 weeks old and the hospital started him on enfamil...WIC only gives out similac so we got that and tried to swtich him. After a week of vomiting we are trying to get WIC to get us back on Enfamil. Good luck

Yeah here the hospital gave me Similac, then WIC only provides Gerber. So I have to switch her. But after she was out of the hospital I gave her Enfamil and it made her sick so I had to go buy Similac and I tried to get WIC to give me Similac and they won't. So I have to switch her to Gerber I could never afford formula.

I can't afford formula either at 25 dollars a can and he is going through 2 cans a week. My son barfed similac for a week...we even tried similac sensitive
