Baby fever from MC? Cap'n Obvious 65 kids; Benton, Kentucky 1330 posts

I know I need to give myself time to heal (physically and emotionally), but I just can't shake this baby fever. I lost my twins about a week and a half ago and I just feel so empty. We're not ready for another baby right now, but I just want to feel whole again. Any of you mamas gone through this? My first two losses were painful, but since I have Em.. it's like I now know for sure what I'm missing out on and it's so much more painful. How do me and SO even begin to cope with this? Here I am having baby fever and he's almost totally sexually and emotionally withdrawn. I just don't know what to do or how to feel anymore.

I went through the exact same thing and actually got pregnant 3 1/2 months after my miscarriage... There's nothing wrong with having baby fever. You were expecting to be having a baby and now you are left with nothing, it's natural to feel empty and want something to fill that hole.
Don't start trying until you and SO are comfortable and have delt with the loss, but when you do, just know there's nothing wrong with it. You are not pushing the lost babies out of your life, you are simply moving on, they will still be a big part, believe me. I still think about my little angel and even felt guilty for wanting to try again after I lost him. These things happen and they just take time. I'm so sorry for your loss mama, if you need someone to talk to feel free to message me.

Quoting Cap'n Obvious:" Thank you, so much. I'm PTing you. I never thought losses could hurt me more until after I had DD. She's ... [snip!] ... hardly talk to me or look in my direction. He's been sleeping on the couch since it happened. I don't need to lose him, too."

You're so welcome. Aw, I bet sweetie. It's a really tough thing to go through and it's perfectly understandable. I wish DH and I had gotten some counseling, I think it would have helped resolve alot of issues we've been facing with this pregnancy, but it is what it is now. If you think SO would go for it, I would really start looking for a counselor. He sleeps on the couch? Have you told him that you really need him right now? Bless your heart. I'm praying for you guys!
