It took having to go back to work with my first, to make me realize I never wanted to work while my kids were young again. SO much happens in their first year or two, blink an eye and you've missed it...been a SAHM ever since!

my mil has a sam's club account and she got us on her account that helps a ton at tax time we stock up on everything that we would need a year like tp, shampoo, soap, laundry soap, and dryer sheets other house hold goods and then meat and sides there that way i got to only get like milk, eggs, bread butter, cheese , fresh veggies and fruit stuff like that my mil also bought use a huge deep freeze to help and my mom is giving me her old one too so we are going to have 2 deep freezers that way we can start stocking up on more meat and my mom buys a full cow and pig every year and gives us half of the stuff that she knows we like
I love being a SAHM but it does drive me crazy at times though... & its so hard to keep up with a house. When your child needs your full attention... I need to learn to freeze dinners!!

what i do is you know the throw away baking pans i buy those and make everything ahead of time and then i freeze it for the fast suppers cause i can take them out and just pop them in the oven
and i get the rubbermaid lid locks i make all the soups like chilli, chicken noodle(but i don't add the noodles) and then i freeze them if it is something that needs noodles i add them when i'm cooking it
also so you know if you are going to be baking or cooking with cheese you can freeze it if you want to shop for it once a month

i know sears has one for less then 200
Quoting M♥mmyD11312:" Working moms before having your baby. At what point after having your LO did you decide to be a SAHM? ... [snip!] ... still the house, & cooking. I just want to make the right choice & at this point for our family daycare is not in our plan."
being a SAHM is a job all by itself. I'm a housewife and it's hard to keep up with the cleaning and laundry sometimes. my hubs tells me all the time how happy he is to go to work and not have to cook and clean (he's not too good at cooking so i'm happy about it too! :P). it's just gonna be even harder when our LO gets here. lol it doesn't help that our washer is broken atm either. hopefully that will be fixed once baby gets here so i dont have to take him/her to the laundromat with me.
