Quoting Kati Iss Rollinn:" People like to do that on pregnancy forums. Until they get caught. Some are smart and keep it going for ... [snip!] ... it going for awhile. Other's are just morons that cant stick to the story. The other forum im on they have tons of them."

Right?! It's crazy, I've seen it happen over and over on BG.

There was one I specifically remember a few years back... "Lucy" I think was her name... she had all of us believe that her mother-in-law put her 4-year-old in the front seat without a seat belt, got into a horrible wreck, and that she was in a coma. A lot of us followed the story for at least a month, I cried to my husband about it, and we all awaited her frequent updates for a long time. Then she came on and said she died.

I mean, people were giving this chick money. It went so far, it was insane. People found out who the girl was and she was some young girl who had severe issues. I can't remember if anyone contacted her family or what, but it ended up being a pretty sad deal.

...are you serious that happened on here? That's horrible

There's a girl who faked a life since 2006. She got caught on a teen girl site, then apparently made a Facebook page saying her daughter was deaf and had a rare disease. Alot of people donated money. She stole these people's pictures since 2008. The daughter is supposedly 4 now. She just got caught as fake and there's a criminal investigation going on and everything.

It makes me wonder about some stories but the real outweigh the fake I'm sure

Yeah, it was so sad... her story was so thorough and so believable... it was just unreal how far it went.

Wow, four years... so crazy she went and got away that long with it. I really believe that some of these people get so caught up in their story, lose themselves, and perhaps "become" these imaginary people they are portraying, you know? Like how some actors get so involved with a character that they stay in character before, during, and after. I mean, look at Heath Ledger. I was even watching Sally Field being interviewed the other day about her role as Lincoln's wife and she was saying, "I became her and she belonged to me, and it took me a long time to let her go."

Really, all of it is just a total mind f**k. It's messed up, but the psychology part of me makes me so curious about what they are escaping from and what is going on upstairs that makes them justify it.

Wow that's crazy. It is so sad.

Yeah it was a long time.

It interests me also about the Psychology part. It would make a good thesis
