I think i'll say something to the teacher tomorrow. Me and his teacher talk alot so tomorrow when i take him in ill mention something to her just so hes not being made fun of.

Maybe I missed it, but do you have any indication your son will be made fun of or are you fabricating that?

He's 4 and im supposed to let him fight his own battles? I'm not going to go in front of his whole class and say hey everyone dont make fun of Logan im going to take his teacher aside and mention to her that the little girl has been making fun of him so just keep an eye out.

My daughter is in kindergarten & according to her, she has 3 boyfriends. I think it's cute. They have no clue what it even means.

I've never understood why people freak out when their little ones say that have a 'boyfriend' or 'girlfriend'. My oldest niece came home from pre-school saying she had a boyfriend & her Dad & most of my family made such a huge deal out of it. For the longest time you couldn't even say the word 'boyfriend' around her without her bursting into tears. That, IMO, is taking away their innocence.

Yeah you just threw that in there after no one agreed with you. God god. Theyre kids, let them be kids. Let him work it out and learn social skills without helicoptering down on them.

Okay. i'm not going to argue with anyone. I want my son to enjoy school and not have some little girl hounding him to be her boyfriend. So i will let it go but if my son comes home tomorrow and says something about her being mean to him again i will say something to the teacher.
Have a goodnight everyone!

I think that once kids start school they need guidance from their parents, not someone who will jump in and fight their battles. There is a certain point when you need to step in, but this is not it. If he's coming home saying kids are teasing him or whatever, tell him what to do and how to respond. That is a lesson he needs to learn, and I think it's really important at this age... You think he's being made fun of now at 4? Wait for 10 years from now when someone calls him a name and he comes home crying, only for you to go into the school to deal with it and have him made fun of worse...

When he is older he will be able to deal with it but i feel like it is my place as his mother to make sure he is not being teased because he is only 4 and doesnt know how to stand up for himself 100% yet.

How will he be able to deal with it if you won't teach him how? Of course he can't fully stand up for himself yet but I hardly think that little girl is trying to hurt him either.
