That is what I was just thinking! Sounds suspicious...

She doesnt know them *well*. I wouldnt say she is close with them. I know she even straight out hates some of them. They have a 6 year age difference so its not like his high school friends were her high school friends or anything.

As for why I wasnt invited, I dont know really. I guess we arent close, Im pretty sure most of his family doesnt like me. Hes the only son and I think his family kind of babies him, so when I get angry with him over something they always see it as my fault, never his. He is the golden boy and can do no wrong. They dont say anything rude to me, but I cant tell they dont particularly like me.

Have you asked if he doesn't want you to go?

No. I was totally fine with the trip till today. Thats when he made the comment about the drinking and told me my son wasnt going anymore. It actually stemmed from a conversation about how so many people wanted to room with him. I asked him who and he named some of his friends. Then he said he turned them down though because he wanted to room alone. So I was like oh thats probably better for the boy and he told me that our son want going anymore. This is when I got uncomfortable and started to see the trip in a different light. When I told him I was feeling uncomfortable he got defensive, got mad that I didnt trust him and said that it was his sisters wedding and he wasnt going to change anything. He even compared it to vacations I have this year (Im pretty sure going for 5 days to take my son to see my ill grandmother does not compare to what he has going on). He got mad and left the house.

I think we all know why he wants that room alone. What a dick sneeze.

He doesnt really have much to do at my house when Im not here I guess. He has his xbox and computer and stuff at his place. I think a part of it is (and this is going to make me look really strange) is that my parents and him dont get along very well and they have a key to my house so they could really just pop in at any moment. They dont often do this, they have never just walked in without calling first. Since they watch my son sometimes its just easy for them to have a key. I trust them completely and this way if they need medication for him, his health card, another set of clothes, etc, they can just get it.

if we had the money id totally get a bigger place with maybe a 3rd room or basement so my bf could have his own gamer cave or whatever. his own space is good but in another location where you probably dont go to or his son doesnt go to is fucking weird. sounds like he could live a double life if he wanted and you are playing right along with it.

Part of the reason why I posted this here is because when I told him I felt uncomfortable he made me feel like I was being really crazy, like he was just going to his sisters wedding. Ive never been to mexico and I dont have a sister so I really needed some other opinions.

look you are trying to justify his actions. you shouldnt need a baby sitter. your baby has a DADDY. honey listen to me he is playing you. either wake up out of your denial or live with herpes

maybe he doesnt get along with his parents bc they know he is stepping out on you. a big danger sign is him keeping you from 'family' things. inlaws tried to do that and guess what my so is with me.

I should probably say that sometimes our son does go there, but I often would rather him not just because I dont like it very much. Its one giant room so all the adult stuff (xbox, TV, computer, etc) are squished in this room along with the bed. The bathroom is a shared bathroom and its not easily accessible to my son (and being 3the need for potty consistency is important). He doesnt have a kid bed there and my son is used to having his own room (even though he rarely uses it now :( ) So part of the reason why my son isnt there much is because of me.
