Okay so a few weeks back Bailee was very congested and coughing and wheezing really bad. So I got to the ER and they said she had a THROAT infection.. and gave her some antibiotics. But I was told the throat infection had nothing to do with the coughing and wheezing.
So fast foward to the past few days. She has been couging, very congested but she also has a fountain of snot running down her nose 24/7, her eyes keep getting caked in eye boogers, she feels warm(not sure if she has a fever) and like today when she woke up she was coughing so hard she starts puking.
Half the time she doesn't want eat food, and the other half when she does try to eat her food she chokeson it.. Im guessing because she can't breathe through her nose? She never choked on her food till she was sick. :?
The only thing she can eat is bannanas. So she just woke up from a nap so she is watching Disney Junior and eating bannanas and coughing eveyr 30 seconds. :?
I feel so bad for her but I don't know what to do. My grandma says if I take her to the ER they are probably just gonnna tell me that its a cold and there is nothing they can do. (Which... they probably will
We don't have a car anyways so I'd probably have to call FILs wife to come get us.. (and she lives about 30 minutes away). Because my mom and my aunt have to work in the morning and don't have the gas to take us. *sigh*
Calling her pedi isn't an option because she doesn't have one right now(long story, don't ask)
I'm just lost, and I don't know how to make her feel better. :(
Warm bathes help, or steaming up the bathroom and sitting in there with her. And your right if its a cold they will do nothing, and you can't give them anything or a cold until they are over 2.... It sucks when Los are sick my dd just got antibiotics today for a sore throat...
You will need:
3Tbs Virgin Coconut Oil
3 Tbs Olive Oil
3 Tbs fresh, chopped garlic
If the coconut oil is not liquid, you will have to warm it until melted. I warm it under hot water, not on the stove. Then you will add three tablespoons of olive oil and mix them together. Next, add three tablespoons of fresh chopped garlic. I chop up my garlic in the blender a bit with a bit of the oil, then add the rest of the oil and blend at high speed for two minutes. Another suggestion is to use a coffee grinder. Pour mixture through a screen to remove chunks of garlic that the blender may have missed. Pour into a wide mouth jar and label it
