Is it possible to ovulate twice in a month?

Like...
My period was due 3 days ago. It never came but now I'm having clear discharge, similar to what I would have during ovulation.

I don't track ovulation because we're not TTC, but is it possible that I'm ovulating a second time? Or that I didn't ovulate the first time, my cycle has lengthened, and I'm just now ovulating, instead of having my period? :?

Took 2 negative tests, btw.

I thought the same thing one time so I did some research and nope, you can only ovulate once per cycle....

maybe I didn't ovulate until now then...but like...why would I ovulate 2 weeks late? I just don't want to be pregnant  This is much too stressful.

Maybe something in your life is causing you stress and your cycle was thrown off a bit so you're only just ovulating now :)

It's possible to have two or more dominate follicles (eggs) at ovulation. Within 24 hours both will be released but you can not have two separate ovulation events in a month.

Example; I'm taking Clomid and I have monitored cycles. I had to mature follicles this month. I went in for blood work and an ultrasound. I ovulated on the right side, but the left side still has a mature follicle that will be released sometime today since I ovulated yesterday.
