so those of you that work with rescues i figured this would be a story to make you tear up.

Yesterday about 10 min before closing I was sitting in the driveway of the rescue with one of our shyer dogs trying to get him to come out of his shell a little. I look up and theres an older man, 2 adults and a little girl walking up. I ask them the standard questions of what they are looking for and all that and they proceed to tell me the older gentlemen is 98 years old and was looking for an older dog to give a chance to at a better life. He proceeded to tell me he went out yesterday and bought a bigger bed so that there would be enough room in the bed for a dog. I take them out to the senior yard that we have and sit him down. He is looking around and holds a few dogs then i look up and one of our shyer seniors is sitting in the corner so i call him over and sat him in the man's lap. The guy spent about 10 min just holding onto him and petting him. I could tell instantly he had fallen in love. Not too long after that he says this is the dog and we go complete the paperwork. Chipper is one of our long term residents just hitting the two yr mark at the shelter last month. As i was completing the paperwork with his kids i look over and see chipper just sound asleep on the mans lap all cuddled up like he knew it was his day and he got a home

We've had our little girl for a week already. Shes so cute! She's also very comfortable with us. When my husband leaves for work she whines. When she hears him come home she goes nuts. She has also let out a few little barks lol

Been a little MIA been working on my house a lot. Hoping everyone and their puppies are doing well.
My babies and I will be home in no more then 2 weeks, we have until then to be back or we lose the house.
So I am excited to get back but scared as I haven't been back since Rodney passed. Doyle will be glad to be back home and inside again lol.
My question is, having been outside for 7 months will they have lost there house training skills?

Hey Ladies! Ive been a little MIA the past week or so, Ive had alot going on with car problems, money problems, and then I picked up Bentley on Tuesday! Now that things are working out and back on track. Ill give a little update on everyone.

Bentley ( my new Merle chi puppy ) Is doing AMAZING! He weighs 1lb 6.4oz. He is such a little cuddler, Hes only had 1 accident in the house since we got him, and that happened while i was in the shower. Hes very smart, and uses his pee pads at night, but during the day he goes outside. Just today he actualy ran to the door when he had to go. I was surprised. Hes very spunky and playful but most of the time he sleeps. Ill add pictures later on when i can get them all uploaded.

and as for my other 4 fur kids, they are all doing great!! I have new pictures of them as well to add later... They dont really care for their new brother, but there getting used to it i guess lol.

They might have forgotten, so a small refresher may help them
