This is NOT a discussion for people who are pro-life.
I am looking to discuss this with OTHERS who are pro-life.

With hormones in our food, menstration is starting younger and younger for females. This is all hypothetical.

Let's say your 8 year old daughter is raped, and as a result is pregnant.

Is it her option to have a baby?
Do you MAKE her get an abortion?
Do you give her 2 options? 3 options?
Does she go to school still?
How do you handle it?

What if your 15 year old daughter is pregnant? What options does she have? What would you WANT her to do?

She will not have an option in the matter, she will get an abortion because I feel that 8 year old girls body isnt capable of giving birth. Even so, if andwhen I have a daughter I will be done with raising kids. So I will not tempt the idea of her having a baby.

ETA: at 15, I would highly suggest adoption to her if she does not want abortion.

At 8? Abortion. At 15? I would have to be in the situation to know what I'd do. It would probably depend a lot on how mature my daughter is, and whether or not she turns 16 before the baby is born, so she can at least drive.

Eight year old?! or 18??

8 year old - enforce an abortion so she doesn't ruin everything in her tiny body..

18 - abortion, adoption or keep the baby, her choice but also HER responibilty. I will help emotionally and depending on the situation provide a roof over her head.

15 - Same as 18 but with much more rules. She would HAVE to finish school, Would have to raise her child, I would help more finanically. I also would push adoption (open) more that any other option.

ETA- Im Pro-choice.. You first 2 sentances are contradicting.. wasn't sure if you want pro-life debate or pro-choice debate.

8- abortion, hopefully we would find out early enough for the abortion pill. But abortion would be the only option IMO.
15- idk that's a harder decision for me because my mother was 15 when she had me.

I would have a medical abortion done for her and would not discuss any facts regarding the pregnancy with her. I would also have her in therapy for the rape. At age 8, she wouldn't need to know the enormity of the situation, and giving her the choice is cruel as an 8 year old is not ready for childbirth, and is to young and innocent to deserve having a difficult choice on her conscience. On my head be it.

She'd go to school and return to normalcy as soon as medically, everything was taken care of.

At 15? It would depend on if she was having sex or was raped. But I would WANT her to abort and get on with a successful life. I'd be supportive of any of the 3 choices she made though (abortion, adoption, raising.)

Iam usually pro life.

BUT when it comes to being a rape and it resulted in any age being pregnant I would have a abortion. I would not be able to carry or have my child carry a mans child that raped her. As for being only 8 and being pregnancy abortion all the way. Just cause she is still a baby herself.

When my sister was pregnant at 15 with her eldest my parents put in front of her the options. 1. Abortion. 2. Adoption. 3. Have the baby. I feel at that age they have to make their own decision on what goes on. As for the 8 year old their is no option.

8 years old, birthing the child is not an option. Yes, I "make" her get an abortion. She isn't equipped to make that type of decision. If she doesn't really even know what the procedure is, great. We would be in counseling immediately.

I'd tell her that she needed to have a medical procedure done, and that everything would be OK, and we'd be making every effort to help her get her 8 year old life back.

15---it is her option, however, I will not be caring for the baby at all. I would very much suggest abortion. I don't have the time for another baby, nor do I feel the need to pay for her daycare and expenses. If keeping the baby is what she chose, it would be her sole responsibility.

At 8 years old, her life would be in danger carrying and birthing a child. At least, I know at 8 mine would. I was TINY, there was no way my body could go through a pregnancy at 8. Abortion, while also hard on the body, would be the best option for her at that point.

At 15. She would have a choice to keep, abort, or adopt out. But, there would be stipulations.
- DH and I would have a sit down with her and the father (given that they were in a relationship. If she were raped, DH would be having a lovely conversation with him). We would talk about the options with both of them, obviously reprimand them for being irresponsible, etc etc.
- She would not have the option to drop out of school. If she didn't feel comfortable at school anymore, she can take courses online.
- DH and I would make it very clear that we are always available to help in any way we can. Babysitting so she can go to school, helping to pay for things until she can handle a job, etc.

I would make her get an abortion if she was 8. I couldn't allow her to give birth. Her body can't handle that. We could get counseling for the emotional heart ache of that trauma.

15...eh. that is tougher. I would try to tell her to get an abortion but ...idk. tough one. My 16 year old sister just had a baby, I tried telling her to get an abortion but they make their own choice.

my daughter is 7 right now. And just the thought of that makes me cringe. Abortion all the way if my daughter was 8 i prob would not even tell her what was going on or that she was even pregnant to begin with. Way to young to even understand all that. At 15 i would push adoption just because i know that no 15 can care for a baby by themselves. If other parents want to raise their kids kids then all the power to them but by that time i will be done having kids and will not be raising any more! At that age it is more hard to push a decision but i would hope they would be smart and make it themselves if they did decide to keep it then i wouldnt be able to say dont ask me for anything cause that is my daughter and i couldnt just leave her in the cold with a baby. It would be a tough decision. But in the end at 15 i would push for her to not keep the baby.
